Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/05/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A primary care physician is needed to provide services at this hospital's outpatient clinic on a locum tenens basis. Services are needed to begin as soon as credentialing can be completed and will last for a period of six months, or until a permanent hire can be identified. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.! m., Monday through Friday.
Internal medicine (locum t! enens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
The physician will need active BLS prior to the start date.
