The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the operations of our waste management contract with City of Canada Bay Council. You will be responsible for ensuring all contracted services are delivered, liaise with Council stakeholders and provide support to the Operations Manager. This role may suit a truck driver looking for a new challenge.
What you'll be responsible for
- Lead a team of side-arm and rear load waste truck drivers, offsiders and depot hands.
- Provide support to the Operations Manager
- Ensuring performance targets are met whilst maintaining a high regard for safety and regulatory standards.
- Lead toolbox and shift start up meetings with your team.
- Liaise directly with all internal and external stakeholders including City of Canada Bay Council, regulatory bodies (RMS, EPA) and the general public.
What you'll need to be successful
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in a transport environment.
- Previous waste experience is highly regarded.
- A strong background in working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience with contract management highly regarded.
- Intermediate IT skills
- Professional and articulate communication skills
