Through the Gem State Public Health program, members will conduct needs assessments regarding collaborations and partnerships, and recruit potential partnerships as well as coordinate meetings, design training materials, and provide other support to public health agencies. Members will also conduct ASSIST and QPR training for community members to increase the number of suicide prevention interventionalists throughout Idaho. The program will offer members academic advising and the opportunity to explore degree options that focus on public health.

Member Duties : Member will assist with friendly calling of older adults with unmet needs to address social isolation/loneliness, answering the friendly chat line calls, assist in distributing PRO Age Connections postcards and robotic pets, assist in planning 2 main events (Meet and Greet and living library) in 2023 including help securing sponsors, recruiting volunteers for friendly calling and volunteers to complete post cards that are distributed throughout the 7 counties of Southeast Idaho.
