Laboratory Assistant

Job Description:
The Laboratory Assistant will perform a variety of laboratory duties to support the various departments of the laboratory. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the preparation of specimens for analysis, maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment, and general office duties. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently. Candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or combination of education and experience and on-the-job training.
·Minimum 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience; and on-the-job training.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and have good communication skills.
·Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
·Must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to multi-task.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
