The Contract Clerk is responsible for providing clerical support to the Contracts department with tasks such as compiling data, obtaining documentation, reporting, document/letter drafting, contract administration and maintenance and other tasks.
- Prepare routine Letter of Agreements for out-of-network services and follow up on status until letter of agreement is fully executed.
- Transcribe and process correspondence for department leadership.
- Send copy of contracts to applicable entities in accordance with AB 1455 requirements.
- Prepare and distribute reports, as needed.
- Maintain address labels and databases for Specialist and Ancillary mailings.
- Manage and track communications with PPOs, PCPs and Credentialing for PPO participation.
- Collaborate with other departments to compile required information needed for existing and/or potential providers.
- Create and maintain contract files and databases for providers, PPOs and HMOs. Upload documents to the Document Storage System.
- Assemble, file and update contract requirement documents, manuals and regulations.
- Assist with Network Development projects as needed.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong telephone etiquette skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, patients, patient family members, providers, vendors and others.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines. Ability to reprioritize tasks as needed.
- Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills.
